Notice is given that the Annual General Meeting of Dixon Park Surf Life Saving Club Inc. will be held on Sunday 12^th August 2018, from 1.30pm to 3.00pm in the upper floor of the ‘Club House, Ocean Street, Merewether NSW 2291.

With reference to the DPSLSC Inc. Constitution (Dec 2016), only Active members, Reserve Active members, Long Service members, Life members and Award* members have the right to present, to debate and to vote at the Annual General Meeting. (* where granted)

1. Welcome, Apologies and Attendance
2. Minute Silence for members that have passed during the season.
3. Confirmation of minutes for the previous AGM held August 2017.
4. Presentation and adoption of the Annual Report for the 2017-18 season.
5. Presentation and adoption of the Auditors Report and Audited Financial Statements for the financial year ending 30th June 2018. Attendance by Scott Faraday-Bensley from auditors - Evolution Advisers.
6. Motion to confer Life Membership to Earl Rennie.
7. Motion for Dixon Park Surf Life Saving Club Inc. to renew affiliation with Hunter Surf Life Saving and NSW Surf Life Saving.
8. Election of Executive Committee for 2018-19 season;

Meeting Notes & Instructions

1. The Annual Report for 2017-18 season (available soon) will be made available through the club website after the audited financial statements are completed, signed off and available – approximately first week in August. This will give sufficient time for review and questions by members at the AGM.
2. The nomination for life membership was referred to, reviewed and assessed by the Life Membership & Honours Committee. Due process was followed with reference to the constitution and by-laws. This member, Earl Rennie, is now being recommended by the Executive Committee to the AGM for the award of life membership. A redacted version of each submission will be presented at the AGM. Per the constitution, these members will be deemed to be elected at the AGM if there are no further nominations.

4. Renewal of memberships can be made and are encouraged prior to or after the AGM. Working With Children Check (WWCC number) required.
5. From 1.30pm to 3.30pm, the Club hall space will be restricted to official guests, members and friends/family attending for support or care. Food and some drinks will be provided to members & guests / family / friends attending the AGM.
