Dear Valued Members, Family & Friends
In planning for the upcoming 2018-19 Annual General Meeting (AGM) for Dixon Park Surf Life Saving Club Inc., I write this letter to briefly inform you of a couple of matters and seek your support as appropriate.
1. Growth & Development
The growth and development of DPSLSC has been strong across lifesaving, education, junior members (50% growth in nippers), sports and in the management systems and processes supporting the operation of DPSLSC. This great story is attributed to you - the many members that volunteer their time, expertise and goodwill to enable us to be such a successful lifesaving club and community.
2. AGM, Official Opening of New Facilities
The AGM and Official Opening of the New Facilities will be Sunday 18th August, with the AGM commencing at 9.30am and the Opening commencing at 10.30am. The Club has taken occupation of the new facilities and the outcome for our members is fantastic. A lot of effort is being put into the organisation of and catering for the Opening, I encourage you all to attend.
Further communication will be issued on both of these matters.
3. AGM Agenda
You would be aware that DPSLSC Inc. as an incorporated association is required to have an Annual General Meeting to deal with some matters related to its Constitution and/or legislation including financial reports for the year, financial audit, activities and plans, election of officials, affiliations etc.
For the upcoming AGM (18/8/19, 9.30am), we are fortunate and appreciative we will have most existing members of the Executive Committee nominating to continue in their respective positions for the 2019-2020 season, EXCEPT for two positions:
