Notice is given that the Annual General Meeting of Dixon Park Surf Life Saving Club Inc. will be held on Sunday 18^th August 2019, from 9.30 am to 10.10 am in the recently refurbished, ground floor of the Club House, Ocean Street, Merewether NSW 2291.

 

With reference to the DPSLSC Inc. Constitution (Dec 2016), only Active members, Reserve Active members, Long Service members, Life members and Award* members have the right to present, to debate and to vote at the Annual General Meeting. (* where granted)

 

Agenda
1.	Welcome, Apologies and Attendance
2.	Minute Silence for members that have passed during the season.
3.	Confirmation of minutes for the previous AGM held 12 August 2018.
4.	Presentation and adoption of the Annual Report for the 2018-19 season.
5.	Presentation and adoption of the Auditors Report and Annual Financial Statements for the financial year ending 30th June 2019. Attendance by Scott Faraday-Bensley from auditors - Evolution Advisers.
7.	Motion for Dixon Park Surf Life Saving Club Inc. to renew affiliation with Hunter Surf Life Saving and NSW Surf Life Saving.
8.	Election of Executive Committee for 2019-20 season;

	iii) Vice President and Club Liquor Licence Manager
	iv) Director of Finance
	v)  Director of Life Saving

Meeting Notes & Instructions

 

1. The Annual Report for 2018-19 season will be made available through the club website after the audited financial statements are completed, signed off and available – approximately first week in August. This will give sufficient time for review and questions by members at the AGM.

 

 

2. Nominations for the Executive committee have been received from and still open for:

2. Director of Administration and Public Officer – Peter Brown
3. Vice President and Club Liquor Licence Manager – Geoff Padgett
4. Director of Finance – Reece Faulkner
5. Director of Life Saving – Toni O’Donoghue
6. Junior Activities Manager – Bernadette Cutler
7. Director of Education – Stuart Barnett
8. Director of Surf Sports – Tim Wilkinson

 Per the constitution, these members will be deemed to be elected at the AGM if there are no further nominations.

 

3. Renewal of memberships can be made and are encouraged prior to the AGM.

 

4. Following the AGM an official opening ceremony of the refurbishment project will take place. This will occur in the ground floor area of the Club. These spaces will be open for inspection by the members and special guests. Light refreshments will be available.
